Refund Policy

You pay once, up front, so here is exactly where you stand. The whole policy is two lines: full refund before we start work, no refund once we have started. No cancellation fee at any point. To request a refund, email hello@seoctopus.online from the address you used at checkout, and a human will handle it.

Before work begins

If you change your mind before we have started work on your site, you get a full refund, no questions asked. No fee, no deduction, no forms. Work begins when we start your audit, which usually happens within hours of purchase.

Once work has started

Once we have started work, the order is no longer refundable. From that point the job is committed: we have set aside the time and the work on your site is underway. There is no cancellation fee either way, because there is nothing to deduct a fee from.

That does not leave you stuck. If something we delivered is broken, or is not what your tier covers, tell us and we fix it. That part does not expire. If you believe what we delivered is not substantially what we described, tell us promptly so we can review it and, where that is warranted, correct it or otherwise put it right.

If we fail you

If we cannot deliver what you paid for, whether because your platform will not allow it, we cannot get workable access despite your best efforts, or the fault is ours, you get a full refund. We do not keep money for work we did not deliver.

That is different from a job that stalls because we are waiting on you. If we ask you for information, access, approvals or materials and do not get them, that on its own does not create a right to a refund. We will keep chasing you, and the rules above still apply.

Mistaken or duplicate charges

Charged twice, or charged in error? Full refund of the erroneous charge, immediately, just email us.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe. We issue them promptly; banks typically take 5 to 10 business days to show the money back in your account.

Governing law

SEOctopus operates from California, United States. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and is governed by the laws of the State of California. Nothing in this policy limits any refund, cancellation or other consumer rights that the law gives you and that cannot be waived.
